I could go on about how sifu Tony makes it his business to know every student and make them feel welcome. I could talk about sifu Dan and sifu Brandon... read more being one of the best comedy duos I've met in a long time and how they are always on hand to help every student move towards their goals or how sifu Alan is one of the most knowledgeable people in his field , if he doesn't know it it's probably not worth knowing. But I won't. Instead I will just say that team TMA has made me feel welcome at every turn . Be it instructor or student. the enthusiasm these guys bring to martial arts is incredible and every lesson I walk away feeling I have taken steps closer towards being the best version of myself. Highly recommended. Come along I promise your enjoy yourself.
Great place that helps to develop and strive to be better. Love the atmosphere and friendly instructors. I enjoy every session there.

I've been a member of TMA for just over 3 months attending JKD classes usually two or three times a week. There is a very friendly and inclusive atmosphere... read more at the club and if you are finding it hard to start with everyone supports you and you are always encouraged and never made to feel bad. I've just done my first grading after about 25 sessions which was soon enough for me and I wasn't pushed at all, the instructors are patient and always take the time to understand what you want from the training. If you don't understand something the instructors are always approachable and helpful. I would highly recommend this club for all ages and abilities.
I would highly recommend total martial arts Swindon as my 5 year old has been going there for about three months now and is having a great time. The curriculum... read more is very well structured with individual attention given for everyone regularly. The staff and instructors are very friendly and engaging so I would recommend this to be a great place for all age groups.
Total Martial Arts has been a great training academy for my son not just for learning one of the most important arts but also in changing his personality in a... read more highly positive manner. We, as parents, have seen a significant changes in our son's approach towards handling tasks that required a bit of extra courage and self confidence in addition to what he already had. The trainers exhibit a great sense of commitment, inclusivity and friendly approach towards training the children. Above all they add a personal touch by sending individual appreciations, wishes and progress report. Highly recommended for children.
Back in February was when I first joined TMA, and it’s proven to be one of the best decisions/investments I’ve made all year. Instructors and fellow students alike are friendly... read more and focused, which has allowed me to make steady progress. Classes are well balanced, and while it’s certainly hard work the atmosphere is relaxed and encouraging. A variety of classes are offered almost every day of the week, making it easy to match my training to my work and life schedule. If you’ve been curious about giving kickboxing or Kung Fu a go I highly recommend you try out a session with TMA. And if like me you take a liking there are other interesting disciplines like Filipino Kali and Muay Thai for you to try out at no extra charge. It’s a great way to become fitter, and while everybody’s different I’ve felt it contribute to feeling calm and centered in my personal life as well. If any of this sounds appealing to you, give on of their taster sessions a go!

I'd searched for martial arts academies in the area and this one came up as the closest, but also the highest rated. Since joining I can really tell why. I've... read more never really been a 'fighter' but the staff have really helped me to progress. Everyone is so friendly, respectful and helpful toward each other - both staff and students alike. I'm now a month into training and looking forward to progressing further!
Great club dedicated trainers, and great passion shown to develop children and adults confidence and fitness.
Moved to Swindon about a year ago and didn’t really know a lot of people and didnt get out much, so I joined TMA with no experience atoll within two... read more months of being apart of this team Iv just had my first grading in kickboxing and started sparing in mai Thai, always learning new things and loving every minute, joining something new was something I was on the fence about for months but after taking the leap I’m glad I did, always a massive warm welcome from sifu Toni and dan evertime you go, I’d 100 % recommend this for anyone who just wants to try something new looking to get fit or work on there strength it’s been a massive help to me!

I have been attending for 6 months and have thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the training, everyone is so frie dly and welcoming, the instructors are great and accommodating to... read more injuries and abilities. Great workout and defence.
Joined around 2 months ago and really enjoying it. The team are welcoming, as are the other students. I felt a little out of place at first, only because i... read more felt i was making lots of mistakes, but after a couple of weeks, things started to click together and the more i go, the more I'm enjoying it. Sifu Tony, checks in regularly for feedback and to see how your're getting on. You do need to attend at least 2 classes per week to make it good value (in my opinion), but there is plenty to choose from and will start other styles once I've got the basics sorted in JKD.
Friendly, professional and approachable staff. Really enjoyable and educational lessons. Would highly recommend for beginners or experienced martial artists!
My little Girl (age 7) and Boy (age 5) started with TMA 2 months ago. Their confidence, discipline and focus has greatly improved. They both really enjoy classes. The team... read more is excellent and it’s great to be able to sit in and watch their progress - highly recommend the academy.

An excellent place to learn multiple martial arts styles. The instructors are absolutely brilliant. Sifu Tony and Sifu Dan are great with both the adults and the children. Very knowledgeable... read more and very patient. I wish I could rate this amazing academy higher than 5 stars because it totally deserves it. It's very convenient that they hold classes in Swindon and Cirencester and what a fantastic atmosphere. Tbh the one thing that's always put me off learning a martial art in the past was my (totally misguided) conception that everyone would be trying to hurt me! This couldn't be further from the truth. Safety is absolutely paramount and the instructors really go the extra mile to make sure everyone is working at a level they can be comfortable with. Don't even bother looking at other gyms in the area, TMA is the complete martial arts package.

I've been training with Total Martial Arts for about 4 years now and I can highly recommend them to anyone looking to try martial arts. They are a family club which... read more means there are no egos and it's not an intimidating environment. The people who train there are just like me, normal folk with normal jobs who wanted to learn how to defend themselves. They have four arts to choose from and they include practical and effective self-defence training in all their classes, which is great. If you have ever wondered about starting martial arts, these guys are the ones to call. You won't regret it.

I started with TMA 6 months now, I first joined to get stronger and learn proper fighting. They were hesitant to take me on at first because I can only... read more use one arm so they suggested I just do kickboxing, as anything else would be extremely difficult. They also said I would have to constantly be supervised, Have to be in the smaller classes and that I could never spar. 6 months on thanks to these guys im not only doing kickboxing but Muay Tai and Jun fan, Im allowed to take whichever class I like big or small I dont need to constantly be supervised and im allowed to spar, on top of this my fitness levels are through the roof. the guys here are extremely friendly and helpful whenever I needed help with something they were more than happy to assist they would also show me ways to adapt techniques to only use one arm. because of them im a relatively competent fighter, ive gotten into the best shape in my life and I still have a long way to go. Im glad I picked them to train with. p.s they do teach you to do knees properly the way that guy who rated one star described in fact I was corrected the very first time we were doing knees.
For the 6 months that I've been coming I've had nothing else other than positive experiences. It's a fantastic academy with fantastic teachers who'll help you improve physically and also... read more mentally. It's definitely worth it.

I’ve been taking my 7 year old granddaughter to TMA in Swindon for two months now and I’ve seen her develop in so many ways. She is a lot more... read more confident both in class and out, she is being more respectful, she is fitter but above all she thoroughly enjoys the lessons. The Sifu’s make the training enjoyable as well as educational. I would wholeheartedly recommend TMA to any parents who’s children wish to learn martial arts.
Everyone is so friendly and as I just started to learn I cannot believe how much time the teachers and the students will take for helping new students. Definitely woud... read more recomend it!
My 11 year old has been a part of the Academy for almost 3 years now, is just about to grade for her black belt, and the holistic approach doesn't... read more just prepare a person to recognise the many dangers encountered on the streets today and how to avoid them rather than the need to protect oneself, it teaches everyone about how to be a decent, respectful, confident person who treats others the same way as they would like to be treated themselves, to stand up for those who struggle to stand up for themselves; and in the worst case scenario how to effectively defend oneself. Sifus Tony and Dan are very patient, excellent instructors, Leanne a very warm, welcoming face of TMA and in Cameron they have an assistant all the kids love. In the 3 years I have known them there has never been a doubt that I did the right thing by my daughter in enrolling her, and the team mentioned above are people I now consider friends.
I have been back training at TMA for over a year now after a good 5 plus years fully out of the game! The level of tuition is amazing and... read more you have options to train in multiple disciplines (Kickboxing, Thai, Jeet Kune Do, Kali). For me, this keeps it fun, varied and challenging. I had my own reasons for joining back to gain a black belt for the stunt register, but the one thing for sure is that you will get fitter, stronger and more flexible (If you put the effort in of course!) and you learn self defence techniques in any session that you do which is really useful. There is a really good group of students (which a wide range of experience and ability) and its certainly a no-ego academy. So anyone who has been looking to get into martial arts, don't delay and get involved.

Some time has passed since I last did Martial Arts and it was a natural decision to restart my training with Sifu Tony Child. His expertise and professionalism is... read more to be admired and I am excited at the prospect of retraining with him once more, after 10 sad years away due to an unrelated back injury. Today I attended my initial class and was made to feel very welcome, as if I’d never been away, and cannot wait to return next week.
Amazing staff. I loved TMT because of my self_confindence is back .And I'm enjoying myself. All the classes are good I like kickboxing.🙂

Great place, friendly atmosphere. Here I can learn with baby steps, I can concentrate to the techniques, I don't have to concentrate to survival. I have tried an other school,... read more where heavy sparring was daily. I couldn't learn too much there, but I get injured quite often! Here, you safe! Of course martial arts are dangerous, accidents happen, but I can't imagine a safer environment to learn them. Gym is not required, but honestly you should do some, if you want to become a badass warrior! ;)

It has been 6 months now since my very first class at TMA and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every single Session!!! I joined with a view... read more to regain my fitness and strength, as for most of my life I had been super fit, due to my old career. However, after a few years not training, I had let myself go a bit and found it really difficult to motivate myself to go to the gym, which I found really Boring! TMA changed all of that for me..... it is so refreshing to actually look forward to working out!! The classes are fun and intense and the trainers really know how to get the best out of you at whatever level you are. Sifu Tony, Sifu Al and Sifu Dan inspire me in every class and are approachable and motivational. I come out of every class knackered, but feeling a whole lot better about myself. The place has a real “family feel” to it and even the advanced students are willing to help at any given opportunity. I look forward to many more years training amongst them all, whilst working my way towards my Black belt😉
